Queenies Lunchroom, Spring Street, Freemans Bay
Spring Street, Freemans Bay café Queenies Lunchroom is one of Auckland City’s most unique and comfortable spots to grab a coffee, and a great example of the Powersurge manufacturing team at work. The company worked extremely closely with Queenies owner Allana Owen to bring her vision to life, as she had a very distinct idea of what she wanted created for the quirky inner city café.
Her architect Paul Brown and his team at neighbouring Clark Brown architects gave Powersurge a brief that included the creation of tables, signage and a large menu board, with the “Good One” stool also appearing throughout the space. A prime example of a “problem solving exercise” and a dream space realised, Queenies has been hailed as much for its décor as its menu.
